Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and sixpin ("we", "us") covering the sixpin app and website. By creating an account (including the anonymous account created when you first open the app), signing in, or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use sixpin. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use sixpin

You must be at least 13 years old to use sixpin. Hotel bookings may only be made by adults (18+) who can enter a binding contract, or with a guardian's involvement.

3. The service, and a beta note

sixpin lets a group plan a trip together: pin hotels, vote on destinations, dates and rooms, track availability, chat, split expenses and book a stay.

sixpin is currently in beta. Features may change or be removed, data models may evolve, and during test periods bookings may run against a sandbox, meaning a "confirmed" test booking is not a real reservation. We'll be clear in the app when that's the case.

4. Your account

• By default your account is anonymous and lives on your device. Until you sign in with Apple or Google, deleting the app (or losing the device) permanently loses your account and trips. Signing in makes your account restorable.
• You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device secure.
• One person per account; don't impersonate others or misrepresent who you are to your group.

5. Trips and groups

• Joining a trip shares what you do in it (name, avatar, pins, votes, messages, attendance, bookings) with that trip's members. Invite codes are bearer codes: anyone you give a code to can join, so share them only with people you want in the trip.
• Trip admins can rotate invite codes and remove or block members. If you leave or are removed, your pins and votes leave with you; your past chat messages remain visible to the group.
• If you delete your account, trips where you're the only member are deleted; group trips continue without you, and the longest-standing member becomes admin.

6. Bookings and payments

• Hotel inventory, prices and reservations are provided and operated by our travel partner, Nuitée (LiteAPI), and the underlying accommodation suppliers. When you book, you enter a contract for the stay with them. sixpin facilitates the booking but is not the hotel, travel agent or merchant of record.
• Each rate's own conditions (cancellation window, refundability, board) are shown before you pay and govern the reservation. Read them: non-refundable means non-refundable.
• Payments are processed by the travel partner's payment provider. Card details never pass through sixpin's servers.
• Prices and availability come from partners in real time and can change or sell out between searching and booking.
• sixpin may earn a commission on bookings and on flight links that open partner sites. This never changes the price you pay.
• Anyone in a trip can book for the group, so agree among yourselves before someone presses the button; the person booking is responsible for the reservation.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use sixpin to:

• harass, abuse or harm others, or post unlawful, hateful or infringing content in chats;
• make fraudulent or speculative bookings, or test stolen payment credentials;
• probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service or access other groups' data;
• resell or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Your content

You own what you post (messages, names, trip content). You give us the licence needed to host, store and display it to your trip's members. That's all we use it for. Make sure you have the right to share what you share.

9. Our service and IP

The sixpin app, name, logo and design are ours. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices for planning and booking your own trips. Hotel content (photos, descriptions, reviews) belongs to our partners and their suppliers.

10. Disclaimers

sixpin is provided "as is", without warranties, to the fullest extent the law allows. Hotel information comes from partners and may contain errors; flight prices are estimates, not offers. We are not a party to your stay and aren't responsible for the accommodation itself. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data caused by an unlinked (anonymous) account being lost with its device, or failures of third-party services. For everything else, our total liability is capped at the greater of €50 or what you paid us in the past 12 months. We don't exclude liability where the law says we can't, including for intent or gross negligence.

12. Ending things

You can stop using sixpin any time, and delete your account in the app (Profile → Danger Zone). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where the law requires it. Sections that by their nature survive (content licences for remaining group data, disclaimers, liability) survive termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as sixpin evolves. Each revision gets a new version number and date (shown at the top and bottom of this document). For meaningful changes we'll tell you in the app before they take effect; continuing to use sixpin after that means you accept the updated terms.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you're a consumer in the EU/EEA, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your home country, and you can bring disputes before your local courts.
